I shouldn't but I did
You'd think that with plans to travel overseas fermenting in my brain I would have the sense to pull back on the unecessary spending. I will. I promise. I know I had no need to go to the theatre this weekend. After all, I saw the incomparable Mr Warlow last week and have a ticket waiting for next Saturday. Still, observe how the circumstances mitigate the guilt of an impulsive decision. Firstly, tickets are cheaper for the matinees - I could have spent more than I actually did. Secondly, I wasn't close enough to see any facial expressions last time so that doesn't really count. Thirdly, because I went today I ended up sitting next to Geoffrey Rush. True! Now doesn't it make it OK if you sit next to an Oscar winner?
It was almost a completely full house, lots of children of course and the usual compliment of loud coughers. This is one of my pet hates. I appreciate that it can be difficult to control a cough. However, there are things you can suck to prevent you from ruining someone's aria. I'm just saying. Thankfully there was no sign of the rustling lolly packets which I hate even more.
So I got to see Anthony again and Mr Rush enjoyed the show.
