Goodies FAQ

The Goodies are coming for you and you and wait, they've gone. But the important part is that they came. I say important because, like most of my generation, I grew up watching them at 6 o'clock every week night on the ABC. Many people who know I am a fan of the Superchaps 3 have asked me if I went to the live show. Here are the answers to that and other questions I've been asked.

Q I heard The Goodies were in Melbourne, did you know that?

A Yes.

Q They did a live show apparently - did you go?

A Yes.

Q Was it good?

A Totally awesome.

Q Is it true you've met Tim before?

A Yes.

Q Really?

A Yes, really.

Q Did you catch up with him while he was here?

A Yes

Q Oh sure you did - backstage I suppose?

A Yes.

Q Did you meet Graeme and Bill too?

A Yes

Q Can you prove it?

A Well, ToM was there and we got autographs later too.

Q So what are you going to do now that you've achieved a lifelong ambition?

A I'll have to get back to you on that one.......

Painting and Reality TV

Yep, more set painting on the agenda today. Back to the basic black, no fancy arty type stuff today, more's the pity. The good thing about it is that another column has had the boring fiddly bits done and that's one column fewer to paint next time. I also like how you can instantly see the effect of your work. And I didn't get any paint on my face this time - well done, me!
So, warm fuzzy feeling from a job well done led into content-all-is-right-in-the-world feeling when I watched people that annoyed me get eliminated from both Survivor and The Amazing Race.
I am now in a Mozart kind of mood. I wonder how far I can get through Magic Flute before the Tim-Tams run out.......

Adding actual content

In case you haven't heard, CLOC are doing Jekyll & Hyde this season which is pretty much dominating my life right now. Except for the calisthenics on Friday night. And the bit where I hurt my back. And the part where Suzanne came over and we watched a new episode of The Amazing Race. Apart from that, it's been CLOC all the way. I spent a few hours yesterday helping out with some set painting. This thing is a monster and it was hot work, especially on a ladder trying to reach the top of the upper level. Still, we have the base painting pretty much all done and the "fancy" parts are quicker to do so we achieved quite a bit.
This morning was all about photographs for publicity and the program. It's always exciting when you see cast in full costume and makeup for the first time. Once the photos were done it was time to start rehearsal so all in all it was a rather full day. Oh yeah, and Gemma and Bernard dropped by with some glassware for the laboratory scenes, a nice surprise.

Trace-space goes live

Who'd have thought it? After slowly coming to the realisation that many of my friends keep in touch by reading each other's blogs I thought I'd give it a try.
This would be your basic Testing..1..2..3 type post then.
